Yokomo Global Return & Refund Policy

We hope you love your Yokomo high-performance RC products, but if you need to return anything, please read our policy below. Due to the technical nature of our products and our rapid fulfillment process, we have established strict criteria for returns and refunds.
To start a return process, please contact our Customer Support team with your original order number and details of the item(s) you would like to return.
Return Eligibility
You have 30 days from the receipt of the order to initiate a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: brand new, completely unused, and in its original, unopened packaging with all factory seals completely intact.

Factory Seal Policy: We use factory seals to ensure the quality and completeness of our kits. Once a factory seal is broken or tampered with, the product is no longer eligible for a refund and falls under our Warranty & Defective Parts policy.

Restocking Fee: For returns based on customer preference (e.g., change of mind, incorrect selection), a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service with insurance.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us (support@yokomo.jp) immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the incorrect item.

48-Hour Reporting Rule: Any claims for missing parts or initial defects must be reported within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. You must provide clear photos of:

The outer shipping carton

The shipping label

The product box and factory seals.

Outer Carton Damage: Please note that damage to the outer shipping carton (packaging) is not classified as item damage under our policy.

Resolution: Manufacturing defects or missing parts discovered after opening will be resolved via replacement parts, not a whole-vehicle refund.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges. If you would like to exchange your item, you will need to return your original order (subject to the 15% restocking fee) and place a new order.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. The returned item(s) must be received at our facility within 60 days of your return initiation. If we do not receive the item(s) within this period, a refund cannot be issued.

Process: Once approved, the refund (minus the 15% restocking fee) will be automatically applied to your original payment method within 10–15 business days. We only issue refunds to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Non-Refundable Costs: Original shipping fees, as well as any duties and taxes (including those prepaid under DDP terms), are strictly non-refundable.
Important Note Regarding Failed Deliveries
If a delivery is unsuccessful due to the customer's refusal, an incorrect address, or failure to claim the package, the customer is responsible for all costs related to the return.

Deductions: Return shipping costs, handling fees, and non-refundable duties/taxes will be deducted from your refund.

No Reshipping: Once a package is returned to us under these circumstances, we are unable to reship the order. The transaction will be considered complete after the partial refund is processed.
Non-Returnable Items (Final Sale)
The following items are "Final Sale" and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded:

Lithium Polymer (LiPo) Batteries and Nitro Fuel (due to hazardous material regulations).

Clearance or Sale items.
Warranty & Liability Waiver
By opening the factory seal, commencing assembly, or operating the vehicle, the user accepts all resulting liability. Yokomo assumes no liability for any damage, crash, or injury resulting from the use of our products. Damage from crashes, assembly errors (e.g., stripped threads), water damage, or incorrect wiring is explicitly excluded from any warranty.
Governing Law & Statutory Rights
This policy is governed by the laws of Japan. However, this does not affect any non-excludable statutory rights you may have under the consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
